Apple announced a new iMac with the M6 chip, keeping the familiar 24-inch 4.5K Retina display and seven-color lineup. Configurations include up to a 12-core CPU/GPU design, Dual 16-core Neural Engine options, and up to 32GB of unified memory.
Pre-orders began October 28, with availability listed for November 6. Entry pricing starts around $1,499 for the 10-core model and $1,699 for the 12-core configuration.
The iMac remains positioned as an everyday creative and productivity all-in-one with stronger local AI throughput — not a maxed-out pro workstation.
